Annaleise Taylor, an Oregon-bound senior at Canyon View High, placed second in the Division 2 girls long jump final with a wind-legal effort of 18 feet (5.49m) at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Deer Valley High. It marked the first time Taylor competed in the long jump final at the state meet, in addition to running both the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, plus relays for the Jaguars.
